That is the question…
On this Friday the 11th of July we are all expecting the numbers to reflect that the newest version of the Iphone to be staggering. A complete sellout on day one. If you are looking for a full review and thought process on the Iphone be sure to listen to our latest show on Gathering Geeks.
I had the opportunity to talk to an AT&T store manager that told me that in a large city here in Massachusetts, he was only getting 25 iphones. He said that most of the product would hit the Apple stores, and I can see that. But, just 25 -50 units per store for a launch day? I find that number hard to believe when Apple is reflecting a huge number of activations. I think that the hype is there, but the drive to switch isn’t.
If you have a phone that is under contract with AT&T, would you buy this phone and extend your contract to be one of the hipster geeks with this new device? I would love to see those numbers.
I won’t be running out today to get one as an AT&T customer. I have a Blackberry and I am happy that I can let my thumbs do the typing. I will stick with my Ipod and Itunes for my music and mixes, but all the great marketing that Apple does led by Steve Jobs isn’t going to get me to take the bait today.

Episode 52 saw CK coming out of the gates like a mad man…He had a look of determination to put on a great show and he thinks that he has accomplished just that. He also enjoys talking in the 3rd person for some reason.
Anyways….
This was a great show and it featured things that I didn’t have planned. It was the kind of show that was to get everyone involved, which it did. Episode 52 featured some great topics that included, YouTube talk, Department of State talk on the security of private info, the salary of Rush Limbaugh and where radio is headed, the tax that Massachusetts imposed on a pack of butts, and the sad story of the 12 year old from VT. who is thought to be a victim of foul play by her Uncle.
We had a great segment featuring a friend of the show and what she has recently posted as a music podcast at www.Utterz.com. This was a great piece by Allicette and we were excited to feature this.
We also talked movies, the return of the Verve and played some a song from the past to refresh your memory.

In this episode we touch on some sports news and the NBA draft, and what is happening in the world of tennis. We took some guest on the show and talked about the economy, the Dow, and oil prices.
Then, we really got into it with conversation on the recent Supreme Court ruling on the gun laws in D.C and the 2nd amendment. This was also piggy-backed with a recent ruling by the highest court in the land on the subject of the Death Penalty for individuals that commit rape of a child and if they should be subject to the ultimate penalty, death. These were 2 topics that got everyone going and you shouldn’t miss.
