This was a show that featured the crew from the world famous Obsessive Sneaker Disorder Talkshow and all their wit which landed on the console of Sound Check. We got into it right away on the eve of this Black Friday where we heard of the deals and steals as well as the people that made it to work and never made it home. It was a day that will be added to the record books for tragedies that have happened on yet another Black Friday and also the release of the DJ Clark Kent designed Nike Air Force 1.
This was a show unlike all the others, because it had more laughs than expected! Enjoy the show and here is all goodness that took place.
Show Notes for the Sound Check Black Friday Show for Nov. 28th, 2008
I would like to extend a special thank you to Dee Wells for his hospitality, friendship, and the idea behind the Sound Check Black Friday Show. If you haven’t seen Dee’s Show or website, please check him out and let him know that you heard Ep70 here at Sound Check!
This past week we experienced the greatness of Thanksgiving and of course “Black Friday.” We had the opportunity to gather our family and friends together and eat till we were so full that we needed to loosen the pants button and take a nap.
I had a great holiday where a good percentage of the family gathered and I was able to take many pictures of the family and also at my 2nd stop of the day at what I call “my extended family.” I stayed overnight on Thanksgiving and was looking forward to heading from Worcester to Cambridge, MA for the release of the “Black Friday, Air Force-1 by Nike. This was to be a release like no other because no one that was in line to buy it knew what it looked like. That held true for us as well. We were surprised that it was so nice in person.
The designer of the shoe, DJ Clark Kent was at Concepts in Boston to sign the boxes of the shoe that he designed. It was a sell out as expected. Also on hand was BREK ONE on the tables spinning the latest and greatest mixes for the patrons of the Black Friday Air Force 1′s. It was an all around success.
Here are some of the pictures of the event at Concepts.
This was a great day that was had by all.
Please keep a look out for Episode 70 that was recorded live on Black Friday night (Friday) for all the talk that WAS Black Friday.

Wow… It’s one thing to come into the shows and be under produced, but lately these shows have topics that we don’t even touch. Their is always something to talk about here and the opinions are always running wild. This episode features a lot of laughs. It was a fun show to listen to in post production because reliving it a second time, made it even funnier. I hope that you enjoy the show.

I hope that everyone has been enjoying the shows over the last month, because I know that by the email and the chatter that we are producing a great show. Once again a quick thank you to the guest host for filling in and also to Eric for being there while I was out of town in the Windy City.
It was a trip that was cut short and I ended up heading to the airport early (hoping that I wasn’t going to feel Tom Hanks in Terminal) and bear the brunt of an increase in plane fare and a wait. Well, I am glad to say that I made it back to MA in one piece and had a great conversation with the gent that was sitting next to me in the last row of the plane back from Chicago.
I realized that I miss being here, setting up the show and delivering every Thursday night barring any emergencies. I am back. We will be LIVE every Thursday night at 9:35 p.m EST at Talkshoe.
Episode 68 was fun filled and it went in another direction tonight. I hope that you enjoy the show and thank you in advance to all that attended the live show/recording. I also want to thank all the new guests that were in and took part in the show as well. We hope to see you next week and in the weeks ahead.

Once again, thank you to all that make Sound Check the place to be on Thursday nights from 9:35 till about 12 midnight. Much appreciated and I hope to see you on the show soon. Talk soon!
I have mentioned over the past several months that I was going to, and did endorse Senator Obama. We have seen many sides to the 2 main candidates in this years race and I know that a major percentage didn’t like either choice. I was glad to see a side that I liked this year that didn’t involve a woman (unqualified IMO) VP and a chance at calling her President Palin. That wasn’t something that I was standing for, so I chose the other. Change was issued and I hope that change prevails. We need 4 fresh years, and not 4 of the same.
I hope tomorrow, I can say President Obama and feel great about it.

Join us Thursday night for another episode (#67) of Sound Check with a guest host this week. I am sure that it will be a great show!
