Episode 73 Sound Check “From Strip Clubs to Fight Clubs and back…”

December 18th, 2008 by CK

This was the last show of the year, and for all that it was worth…2008  was a great year. We heard some conversation about politics and heard awesome election coverage from our guests. From debates about Obama and McCain to the randomness of Joe the Plumber. We touched topics from music to movies, to random Florida news to how a woman could be married 5 times and all her husbands die and no one has a clue that something it up. It was a great, but wacky year. I had a blast and many thanks to all the staple guests that are on the show…you know who you are. I wish that we could get the one that got away back sometime soon.

December 11th, 2008 by CK

It only took 70 Episodes for us to talk about a topic that we haven’t discussed since Episode #2, and that is music.

I was talking in Episode 71 about the Grammy nominations were out and I was not clear (and still am not) on how Coldplay and Metallica could be in the same category called “Rock.” I also mentioned that we would talk more about music in this episode. So we did.

In this episode we did play all of the music from the artists that are nominated in the “Best Rock Album” and the “Best Rock Song” categories.

In between the 1st and 2nd category we did discuss what artists have NOT won a Grammy.

Overall this was a great show and a chance to discuss something that everyone likes, music.  In future episodes, Sound Check will be doing more show that include new artists, up and coming artists, and also what artists have shaped our lives and what certain music means to you.

This was a fun show to do seeing where their is some music that many people like.
